When you first hear about an outdoor wedding ceremony in October in Jackson, you immediately think I hope it doesn't snow!! So when I first met with Megan and Brad and started asking questions about any concerns they had about their upcoming wedding, I was relieved to hear that the weather wasn't something they were stressed or worried about!! As long as it didn't pour down rain, this couple was tying the knot with smiles on their faces. Their goal was to have fun with their families and eat, drink, and be married. The snow came just days earlier, and on their wedding day, Megan and Brad breathed a sigh of relief when the sun shone brightly and warmly on the lawn at Shooting Star!

As the wedding day started to come together, you could see all the personal touches Megan and Brad had put on their wedding. There were personalized glasses for the guests to use for drinks and to keep as a favor. Megan designed and put together the centerpieces, the bouquets and boutonieres, aisle flowers, signage, table numbers, and more. Everything looked so tasteful and creative. She was an amazing DIY bride!! And an extra special touch was having their two dogs be part of the wedding!

The ceremony took place in the afternoon sun with the Tetons in the background looking down on them. Just as the sun went behind the mountains, guests put on their coats and enjoyed the view with a few cocktails and appetizers. Dinner, dancing, and a good time followed. And let me elaborate on the dancing part of that. It was the first time I had heard of and got to see what is known as the "money dance"!! This is where male guests pay to dance briefly with the bride. The guests loved it, and it was so much fun to watch!! This was one of those weddings where you could tell the bride and groom loved getting to celebrate and spend time with their closest friends and family, and the guests were so happy to get to be part of such a special day.

This wedding was so much fun to be a part of. It was a beautiful day for two very amazing people whom I was very lucky to get to know!! Thanks, Megan and Brad, for letting me be part of your big day!!
