Greetings! Since they day I decided to start a wedding planning company, I focused on ensuring that couples can enjoy their wedding day. Since that day we have offered one service and only one service: Day Of / Essential Coordination. Over the years people have asked us for help with their timeline, extra meetings and for more contact the month of the wedding. Of course we accommodated each of these requests with a smile. Now that we are serving the two gorgeous locations of Jackson Hole and stunning Napa + Sonoma, it seems natural that this is the year we officially offer Partial Planning for weddings. I am excited to be working closer with couples and able to serve more couples. Details on Day Of / Essential Coordination and Partial Planning are on our website. So keep calm, hire a wedding planner and enjoy your wedding day.
There must be something in the air this year. In the last few weeks, more than a handful of couples (or their moms) contacted us looking for a Day Of wedding planner for a very fast approaching wedding. The weddings are this year, this summer and in many cases less than four weeks a way. Keep calm brides-to-be (grooms, moms and maids of honor) it is not too late to hire a Day Of wedding planner. You are almost at the altar, the planning is done, DIY decor is sitting in boxes, friends are packing their suitcases and your shoes are ready for dancing. Day Of wedding planners are here too help make the vision of your wedding day a reality. Be sure to ask for custom packages since the date is so close, knowing your specific concerns are addressed will save you stress. This close to your wedding date here are the top five reasons why you should still hire a Day Of wedding planner: 1. Enjoy your wedding day. Peace of mind that all your planning will come together as you envision. The father of the bride wanders off just before the father-daughter dance, your Day Of wedding planner will find him and make sure he has his dancing shoes on.
2. Someone else to answer questions. You sip champagne while someone else answers questions from vendors, keeps the day on schedule, guides the guests from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to dancing and away at the end of the night.
3. A pro to handle last minute snafus. Every wedding has a few unexpected snafus and a Day Of wedding planner can keep attention away and usually solve the problem before anyone knows (even the bride and groom). Snafus range from sudden wind blowing the escort cards away to running out of toilet paper in the bathrooms to non-functioning generators.
4. A smooth ceremony. Your Day Of wedding planner can quickly and efficiently run your ceremony rehearsal so that you can get to your welcome dinner. More importantly you can walk down the aisle with a huge smile knowing that everyone is standing where they should be, when they should be.
5. Wedding emergency kits. Wedding planners come armed with a tote bag full of items to mend, glue, re-write and fix endless situations. Did you know white chalk will conceal stains and smudges on a wedding dress? Your Day Of wedding planner knows that and has white chalk in her bag.
Hello there! Now that we are officially Napa and Sonoma wedding planners, I thought I would share what I have been up to here in California. Over the past few weeks I have been visiting wedding reception sites. Let me tell you, there are many gorgeous and different options. You don't have to be a wine connoisseur to have your wedding in a vineyard or wine cave. So here we go, this is the first day of wedding site visits in Sonoma. The first two spots were Cline Cellars and Suite D. It is not a coincidence that I went to these two places first. A few years ago (in my not so distant life as a nonprofit consultant) I stopped in at Cline on a wine tour during a work trip and was thrilled to find these wines in Jackson Hole. Suite D is the even space of the oh so delicious Fig and the Girl in Sonoma, which is one of my favorite places to eat in Sonoma. Oh, I also went to La Tavola. La Tavola has a linen for any and every event and celebration you can imagine and conveniently they have an office/warehouse/showroom in Napa! My snap shots from the visits are below. Enjoy!
Cline Cellars - options for all sizes of weddings and two donkeys!
Suite D - If you love the food from Fig and the Girl and you will love this space. Think rehearsal dinner or casual wedding in Sonoma.
La Tavola - Behind the scenes and in the showroom, inspiration everywhere. A few weeks later I was fortunate enough to attend the La Tavola Spring Release Party so I included a few photos from those tables too. Start pinning now.

I love, love, love seeing clients published after their wedding day. It usually happens in the quiet time of the wedding year, so it is a wonderful way to remember the fun, excitement and celebration of wedding season. We are flattered for Maddie and Riley's wedding being published today on Style Me Pretty. Below are a few screen shots, but you can see the whole blog here.
Becci and VirgilJanuary 3, 2014
There is no better way to start a new year off than with a wedding. Becci and Virgil's wedding was simple, sweet, small and perfectly them. We are certainly in the age of technology because these two met on eHarmony. During our first meeting on the phone, Becci had many pieces of her planning up in the air and said she would be excited about anything since she was so excited to finally be marrying Virgil. There was one thing that was very clear in the meeting, she really loves Virgil. The day before the wedding we went around town finalizing the details with vendors. The next day was the big day and this is where you could see the planning that Becci had worked hard on the last few months: everyone wore stunning wedding attire. As I write this a few days after the wedding, I am dying to see the photos from Heather Erson Photography, but you don't have to wait and can see them below. The young boys wore the most amazing three-piece suits and hats. In my ten years living in Jackson Hole I can honestly say I have never seen more dapperly dressed five and seven-year olds. The 10-year-old daughter was not be out done. Her dress was clearly made for a princess and I am secretly hoping her coat comes in adult sizes. The ceremony brought tears to everyone's eyes, including the children. This is where you could literally feel the love between Becci and Virgil. At one point in the ceremony they each said a few words to each other and it was as if they were the only two people in the whole world. The ceremony ended with the two families becoming one with a unity candle. The beauty of having a small wedding in your own private room, is that your children can run around while you and your new spouse enjoy a private photo shoot outside. Thankfully the one guest, Nani, attended and kept her grandchildren entertained. I'm pretty sure the children enjoyed their private own rumpus room too. The evening ended with a short drive in a snow storm to the Rendezvous Bistro. It always amazes me how the private dining room can be transformed for any occasion. Floral Art did a magnificent job designing the flowers to fit the space and create the perfect wedding reception for Becci and Virgil.

Maggie and AndyJuly 20, 2013
After my first phone call with Maggie and Andy, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding!! They had met miraculously on-line and fell instantly for each other. In the time since they met they hosted dinner parties, traveled the world, ate pounds and pounds of sushi and fine cheeses, and attended friends' beautiful weddings. With all this under their belt, it was time for them to throw a wedding of their own. They wanted a James Bond feel with a vintage, elegant, artistic flair. Could we make this happen in Jackson Hole...Of course!! Maggie and Andy specifically wanted lots of good music and especially good food (minus cake...they both hate cake). Maggie being an art teacher used her artistic talents to create fun, locally inspired welcome bags for all their guests and made cute horse shoe favors for all the guests at the reception. The week boasted of a welcome dinner at the Four Seasons, wedding party white water rafting trip, rehearsal dinner at the Kitchen, and reception at Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis. This wedding would not have been complete without a western inspired photo booth, exquisite wine, and tactical Oscar style spoofing of both their brother's during their toasts. After an amazing dinner, the DJ turned it up and the dancing began (props included) and it only stopped because they hit the venue curfew. I think they would have danced the night away had they been allowed!! Both bride and groom wanted to show their closest friends and family a good time in Jackson Hole and their goal was accomplished!!
Their elegant yet adventurous wedding week would not be complete without a dream escape and honeymoon in Santorini, the Amalfi Coast, and Venice.
Congratulations Maggie and Andy!! Best wishes and thank you for letting us help coordinate your amazing wedding!!

Leah and BradSeptember 21, 2013
For those of you that don't know, I got married this summer, on September 7 to be exact. I was really hoping that my wedding would be the last wedding that I worked on for 2013 and I could just relax and enjoy being a newly wed after that. That all changed I met Leah and Brad in May. I meet with every potential client before they book and had every intention of sending Brad and Leah to work with Lisa (my fabulous co-worker). Well I changed my mind on that about 10 minutes into our meeting. I simply adored not just Leah and Brad, but their whole "team" (Leah's mom and sister) as I came to call them through the wedding planning. First off, they are funny, the kind of dry and sarcastic humor that I can't get enough of. While I was waiting to meet them for the first time Leah called and said "Hi it's Leah, sorry we are late. We canceled the wedding. (Long pause) Just kidding! We are almost at the coffee shop." At the first meeting, Leah and Brad made it very clear that they did not want their wedding to be too "wedding-ish," too structured, too conventional or too scheduled. Since Leah was getting married two weeks after me we formed a unique bond of planning at the same time. By the time her wedding day came I felt like a friend was getting married. Actually, I think Leah summed up our time together perfectly in a note she gave me just before the ceremony in this line "I feel like we were kindred brides and am so glad you came into my life at this moment." By the way, her not too wedding-ish wedding was so filled with personal touches, here are a few highlights: wore her mother's wedding dress, groom made granola for the party favors, same photographer as Leah's parents' wedding, Jewish chuppah (of course they made it) held by friends, scheduling the wedding to not start on time and mother-daugther dance.

Mandy and ScottJuly 6, 2013
Brides (and in this case Mom) can plan the music, make DIY projects, hand write escort cards, and more. However, try as they might they can not plan the weather. This was exactly the case with Mandy and Scott's Jackson Hole wedding. There are two things that I will always remember about this wedding: 1) all of the DIY decor 2) the epic thunder, lightning and hail. Let's just say that Mandy and Mom planned every detail, moment and activity down to the personally labeled children's activities bags. Over the winter Mom sewed burlap curtains for the reception. So it was quite a disappointment to both of them when the rain started, then the hail, then the tent started to have a stream through it, then the vendors had to depart the tent because of the lightning overhead. Finally about 15 minutes after the ceremony was supposed to occur, there was a break in the weather. I quickly gathered all 110 guests out to the lawn as the rain started to drizzle. I must admit, I was worried that the clouds were going to open up again and pour on the ceremony- but it was important to Mandy to get married outside and it was now or get married in the tent. Thankfully, the drizzle passed as Mandy and Scott were saying "I do." The guests headed up to the tent, where everyone was in awe of all the decor. All the winter work of sewing, gluing and assembling paid off. The set up was tastefully western. The guests danced the night away until the were whisked away to the Cowboy Bar. As I always say "the only thing that is certain is that at the end of the day you will be married."
