Erica and Andrew's wedding was an intimate gathering on the deck of one of our favorite venues, Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club. It was a beautiful fall day complimented by the use of an autumn color scheme including burnt orange accents. Personal touches such as name tags from Etsy gave the event a warm and intimate feel. Rachel and Chris's Jackson Hole Celebration Featured on Borrowed & Blue

Lindsey Nickel

Rachel and Chris's wedding was a long time in the making! It was almost exactly two years from when Rachel first called Lindsey to talk about planning her wedding, to the day Rachel got married. Rachel and Chris chose Jackson Hole for their wedding because Rachel's family goes there each summer for vacation and it is one of their favorite places to be together. Rachel loves to ride horses and Chris loves to be outside (and underwater SCUBA diving).

Their ceremony was at the historic Grey Barn followed by a reception with loads of dancing late into the night at Hotel Terra! For more about this fantastic Jackson Hole wedding, visit Borrowed & Blue's recent feature.

Lindsay and Matt's Jackson Hole Wedding at Trail Creek Ranch Featured on Rocky Mountain Bride

LovelyDay Events

When it came to planning this couple's perfect wedding, being unique was at the forefront of their minds! They had decided to host the wedding in the bride's hometown of Jackson Hole, which meant they had a lot of familiarity with the area. Trail Creek Ranch offered the perfect backdrop to their vision and it turned out absolutely breathtaking! If a low-key wedding in the mountains is in your future, than you HAVE to take a minute to check out Lindsay and Matt's rustic wedding! We were so honored to have this wedding be featured on Rocky Mountain Bride. Head on over to the full feature, where you can read about all of the great details this wedding had! 8

While they had been to many beautiful weddings, their goal was to create the ultimate low-key and relaxing event that everyone would enjoy and remember. Trail Creek Ranch provided the perfect western experience they were looking for and by having friends and family participate in every aspect of the wedding (from the wedding officient, to the caterer, to the bartenders!), they were able to pull of the low-key and laid back vibe they were hoping for!

7

And what about this amazing vintage-style, teardrop trailer that the bride's father handmade?! It was converted into an open-air bar for the reception and was a huge hit with all of the guests!

Keep Calm It's Not Too Late to Enjoy Your Wedding Day

Lindsey Nickel

keep-calm-it-s-not-too-late-to-enjoy-your-wedding.png

There must be something in the air this year. In the last few weeks, more than a handful of couples (or their moms) contacted us looking for a Day Of wedding planner for a very fast approaching wedding. The weddings are this year, this summer and in many cases less than four weeks a way. Keep calm brides-to-be (grooms, moms and maids of honor) it is not too late to hire a Day Of wedding planner. You are almost at the altar, the planning is done, DIY decor is sitting in boxes, friends are packing their suitcases and your shoes are ready for dancing. Day Of wedding planners are here too help make the vision of your wedding day a reality. Be sure to ask for custom packages since the date is so close, knowing your specific concerns are addressed will save you stress. This close to your wedding date here are the top five reasons why you should still hire a Day Of wedding planner: 1. Enjoy your wedding day. Peace of mind that all your planning will come together as you envision. The father of the bride wanders off just before the father-daughter dance, your Day Of wedding planner will find him and make sure he has his dancing shoes on.

2. Someone else to answer questions. You sip champagne while someone else answers questions from vendors, keeps the day on schedule, guides the guests from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to dancing and away at the end of the night.

3.  A pro to handle last minute snafus. Every wedding has a few unexpected snafus and a Day Of wedding planner can keep attention away and usually solve the problem before anyone knows (even the bride and groom). Snafus range from sudden wind blowing the escort cards away to running out of toilet paper in the bathrooms to non-functioning generators.

4. A smooth ceremony. Your Day Of wedding planner can quickly and efficiently run your ceremony rehearsal so that you can get to your welcome dinner. More importantly you can walk down the aisle with a huge smile knowing that everyone is standing where they should be, when they should be.

5. Wedding emergency kits. Wedding planners come armed with a tote bag full of items to mend, glue, re-write and fix endless situations. Did you know white chalk will conceal stains and smudges on a wedding dress? Your Day Of wedding planner knows that and has white chalk in her bag.

Alisa and Brayden March 1, 2014

If it is snow and skiing you want for your wedding in Jackson, then snow and skiing it is!! Alisa and Brayden wanted to put together a big ski trip for their closest family and friends and I think they pulled it off pretty well. It snowed and snowed and kept snowing. The day of their wedding was possibly the biggest snowfall all year. It was so good they even stayed for a few extra runs before the ceremony.

The wedding day was a day full of skiing for all their family and friends. Alisa and Brayden took a few extra runs at the resort then headed back to get ready. The guests finished up their runs and came back to hot chocolate, cold beers and much needed appetizers at the lodge. After a few refreshments, they all headed outside in their ski gear as requested by Alisa and Brayden. The violinist began and out walked a stunning ski bunny in her cute short dress, white down coat and super cute Sorel's!!! They met at the end of the aisle with snow and flower petals underneath their feet. With the snow covered trees surrounding them and with the blessing of their friends and family, they said "I do". It was truly a beautiful day with 2 wonderful people!!

After the ceremony, the bride and groom went to take pictures as guests moved inside and started getting ready for dinner. People started gathering around the fireplace and reminiscing about what a great ski trip this was and about what a great week they had had in Jackson. The chef started the food and the night of celebrating with the newlyweds began. It was a trip they will never forget.

It was such a pleasure getting to meet and spend time with Alisa and Brayden and both their close family and friends!! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day!! Congratulations!!

Sonoma Wedding Venues : Cline Cellars and Suite D, plus La Tavola

Lindsey Nickel

img_2924.jpg

Hello there! Now that we are officially Napa and Sonoma wedding planners, I thought I would share what I have been up to here in California. Over the past few weeks I have been visiting wedding reception sites. Let me tell you, there are many gorgeous and different options. You don't have to be a wine connoisseur to have your wedding in a vineyard or wine cave. So here we go, this is the first day of wedding site visits in Sonoma. The first two spots were Cline Cellars and Suite D. It is not a coincidence that I went to these two places first. A few years ago (in my not so distant life as a nonprofit consultant) I stopped in at Cline on a wine tour during a work trip and was thrilled to find these wines in Jackson Hole. Suite D is the even space of the oh so delicious Fig and the Girl in Sonoma, which is one of my favorite places to eat in Sonoma. Oh, I also went to La Tavola. La Tavola has a linen for any and every event and celebration you can imagine and conveniently they have an office/warehouse/showroom in Napa! My snap shots from the visits are below. Enjoy!

Cline Cellars - options for all sizes of weddings and two donkeys!

Welcome to Cline Cellars!

view driving up, there are vineyards everywhere. This was the first site visit so I was a total tourist.

Suite D - If you love the food from Fig and the Girl and you will love this space. Think rehearsal dinner or casual wedding in Sonoma.

See that mural on the wall? It is on canvas and they have four different ones so you can customize your event look

Charming lights hung from the ceiling.

La Tavola - Behind the scenes and in the showroom, inspiration everywhere. A few weeks later I was fortunate enough to attend the La Tavola Spring Release Party so I included a few photos from those tables too. Start pinning now.

Outdoor weddings can embrace elements of nature and provide a surreal setting ideally suited for your special day. If you’ve had the privilege of attending an outdoor wedding you may remember the magnificence or you may remember the bites and rush to escape when uninvited mosquitoes crashed the wedding.

Mosquito Squad provides a solution to mosquitoes and other outdoor pests so that you and your guests can enjoy everything you love about the outdoors without harmful mosquitoes. The solution is their environmentally sensitive barrier spray service and subscriptions. For weddings and special events they offer a special event barrier spray service. A trained applicator will arrive at the location of your event 10 to 14 days prior to perform integrated service and preliminary treatment. The initial service is then followed up by a final service that will be performed 24 to 48 hours prior to your event leaving no odor or any noticeable differences other than the removal of mosquitoes. Their two step approach will remove the pests and prevent their return, effectively stopping them before they have a chance to ruin your wedding.

Mosquito Squad recognizes that every event is different. That is why they have solutions that be can be customized for any wedding big or small, from grand weddings with thousands on the guest list to intimate backyard weddings, all of which are backed by their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

They are locally owned and operated by biology expert Eugene Murphy. Eugene is passionate about biology and outdoor living. Adam and his wife didn't have a lot of money when they got married and were really fortunate to have some good photographers work within their budget to capture everything. Adam thinks that is what really helped to craft his belief that weddings of all sizes and budgets are unique events that are worth retelling - especially through the means of good photography. He believes weddings really symbolize the coming together of not only two individuals, but the people that supported them along the way. His joy as a photographer comes from capturing all the unique moments of that great commemorative event that is your wedding, from the well rehearsed to the completely candid interactions that happen throughout the day. Many of Adam's brides (and grooms) have benefited from his effort to naturally participate in their weddings, and his goal as a photographer is to contribute to your wedding day and help it run as smoothly as possible.

Did you know? Adam is in his mid-late 20's and already has 2 kids! He is also a graphic designer and a total nerd when it comes to finely printed design.

Becci and VirgilJanuary 3, 2014

There is no better way to start a new year off than with a wedding. Becci and Virgil's wedding was simple, sweet, small and perfectly them. We are certainly in the age of technology because these two met on eHarmony. During our first meeting on the phone, Becci had many pieces of her planning up in the air and said she would be excited about anything since she was so excited to finally be marrying Virgil. There was one thing that was very clear in the meeting, she really loves Virgil. The day before the wedding we went around town finalizing the details with vendors. The next day was the big day and this is where you could see the planning that Becci had worked hard on the last few months: everyone wore stunning wedding attire. As I write this a few days after the wedding, I am dying to see the photos from Heather Erson Photography, but you don't have to wait and can see them below. The young boys wore the most amazing three-piece suits and hats. In my ten years living in Jackson Hole I can honestly say I have never seen more dapperly dressed five and seven-year olds. The 10-year-old daughter was not be out done. Her dress was clearly made for a princess and I am secretly hoping her coat  comes in adult sizes. The ceremony brought tears to everyone's eyes, including the children. This is where you could literally feel the love between Becci and Virgil.  At one point in the ceremony they each said a few words to each other and it was as if they were the only two people in the whole world. The ceremony ended with the two families becoming one with a unity candle. The beauty of having a small wedding in your own private room, is that your children can run around while you and your new spouse enjoy a private photo shoot outside. Thankfully the one guest, Nani, attended and kept her grandchildren entertained. I'm pretty sure the children enjoyed their private own rumpus room too. The evening ended with a short drive in a snow storm to the Rendezvous Bistro. It always amazes me how the private dining room can be transformed for any occasion. Floral Art did a magnificent job designing the flowers to fit the space and create the perfect wedding reception for Becci and Virgil.

Maggie and AndyJuly 20, 2013

After my first phone call with Maggie and Andy, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding!! They had met miraculously on-line and fell instantly for each other. In the time since they met they hosted dinner parties, traveled the world, ate pounds and pounds of sushi and fine cheeses, and attended friends' beautiful weddings. With all this under their belt, it was time for them to throw a wedding of their own. They wanted a James Bond feel with a vintage, elegant, artistic flair. Could we make this happen in Jackson Hole...Of course!! Maggie and Andy specifically wanted lots of good music and especially good food (minus cake...they both hate cake). Maggie being an art teacher used her artistic talents to create fun, locally inspired welcome bags for all their guests and made cute horse shoe favors for all the guests at the reception. The week boasted of a welcome dinner at the Four Seasons, wedding party white water rafting trip, rehearsal dinner at the Kitchen, and reception at Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis. This wedding would not have been complete without a western inspired photo booth, exquisite wine, and tactical Oscar style spoofing of both their brother's during their toasts. After an amazing dinner, the DJ turned it up and the dancing began (props included) and it only stopped because they hit the venue curfew. I think they would have danced the night away had they been allowed!! Both bride and groom wanted to show their closest friends and family a good time in Jackson Hole and their goal was accomplished!!

Their elegant yet adventurous wedding week would not be complete without a dream escape and honeymoon in Santorini, the Amalfi Coast, and Venice.

Congratulations Maggie and Andy!! Best wishes and thank you for letting us help coordinate your amazing wedding!!
