Erica and Andrew's wedding was an intimate gathering on the deck of one of our favorite venues, Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club. It was a beautiful fall day complimented by the use of an autumn color scheme including burnt orange accents. Personal touches such as name tags from Etsy gave the event a warm and intimate feel. For more beautiful photos and details, see Borrowed & Blue's article featuring this lovely couple's special day.

Rachel and Chris's wedding was a long time in the making! It was almost exactly two years from when Rachel first called Lindsey to talk about planning her wedding, to the day Rachel got married. Rachel and Chris chose Jackson Hole for their wedding because Rachel's family goes there each summer for vacation and it is one of their favorite places to be together. Rachel loves to ride horses and Chris loves to be outside (and underwater SCUBA diving).
Their ceremony was at the historic Grey Barn followed by a reception with loads of dancing late into the night at Hotel Terra! For more about this fantastic Jackson Hole wedding, visit Borrowed & Blue's recent feature.

“Make the ceremony intimate by getting creative with the seating. A circle gives everyone a close and unique view of the ceremony. With a small group, no one's view is blocked by the person in front. Couches and lounge furniture for a few guests is much more feasible than for a large group, so pick pieces that you love and include that as guest seating at the ceremony.” — Lindsey Nickel, owner and planner, Lovely Day Events
Maureen and Doug's wedding was like no other we've ever worked on before! What really set this wedding apart from the rest was the incredible personal details added by the bride, a visual merchandiser for Pottery Barn.
The wedding was held at the bride's childhood home in Napa which was the perfect setting for this unforgettable day! To read more about this wedding, visit Style Me Pretty's recent article which describes all of the stunning details.
"Our wedding planner, Lindsey, was the best decision we ever made. At first we wanted to try and pull the wedding off on our own but as the day neared we realized we were in way over our heads. I reached out to her, late one night, and thankfully she was able to fit us into her busy schedule. She was literally a life saver and the sole reason the day went off without a hitch." -Maureen, Bride

Congratulations, you're getting married! Jackson Hole quickly became one of the most popular destination wedding locations thanks to the stunning Teton mountain range, endless outdoor recreation and western atmosphere. Summer weddings are starting in a few months, so be sure that you have thought of everything. Since Jackson Hole is such a unique part of the country, it has some unique things to remember when planning a Jackson Hole wedding.
1. Have a rain plan
The rain comes in every day like clockwork, well a slightly broken clock. Typically, on a beautiful sunny day there is an afternoon thundershower for about 20 minutes. After this, the clouds clear and the sky is sunny again. It is possible that the clouds stay all day and it is too wet to get married outside. Be sure to have a Plan B if the weather is too wet and cold for an outdoor ceremony.
2. Hire a wedding planner
It's never too late to hire someone to help you out. The last three to six months is when a lot of the details get ironed out. During this time, your wedding planner can put together a timeline for the day so that nothing is overlooked, liaison with your vendors so that they have everything needed for the wedding day (did you know that the musicians need chairs provided for them?). On the wedding day, your wedding planner will be an extension of you, making sure everything is set up and ready to go as if you were doing it yourself. Your planner will greet vendors and make sure they all know what's happening, how and when so that the vendors don't come to you with question. With the help of an experienced wedding planner, you will spend your wedding day enjoying champagne and celebrating!
3. Be prepared for nature
There are two things that I see guests unprepared for year after year in Jackson Hole: bugs and sun. Mosquitoes love sunset and the calm hot days that are perfect for wedding ceremonies. Few things are more uncomfortable for guests than trying to sit still during the ceremony or dinner while mosquitoes munch on their legs. The sun is also far more intense at the Jackson Hole elevation of 6,200 feet than visitors expect. Help guests to enjoy your wedding day by providing bug repellent and sunscreen. You can place these in bathrooms or at a welcome table so that people can easily find them.
We were checking our email every day waiting for this shoot to arrive and we are so excited to show it to you now! This is a styled shoot we worked on in July with a very talented group of vendors in Jackson Hole for Rocky Mountain Bride! The red barn at Snake River Ranch was the inspiration for the red pops of color. It was truly a honor to be a part of such a wonderful team! Can't wait to see this in our mailbox in person!

Vineyard weddings never get old! Especially on a sun-soaked day with a beautiful couple!
Lucinda and Lucky were together 7 years before Lucky popped the question with a romantic engagement in Cabo. Being from Colorado, they love being outside and embracing the beauty of scenery. On top of embracing nature, they also share a passion of wine, so when it came to choosing a place to get married, it was very clear that wine country in California was the perfect fit!
When they toured Gundlach Bundschu Winery there was an instant connection and they felt at home with it's secluded and breathtaking scenery surrounded by the vineyard and wine cave. Lucky and Lucinda's goal and inspiration was for the wedding to be elegant, romantic, fairytaleish, and as much fun as only one could dream. They loved the fact that having a destination gave them more time to be with their guests and took the pressure off at the actual wedding.
It could not have been a more gorgeous day and the backdrop was breathtaking! We love working with this couple, and they definitely achieved a fairy tale ending!

Alexs and Tom were introduced by mutual friends at a concert and instantly bonded over their love of country music. It didn’t take long for them to realize their relationship was something special, and we agree!
Tom’s grandfather built a cabin in Grand Teton National Park about sixty years ago, and his parents were married there thirty-five years ago. Tom spent many summers and holidays with his family at the cabin. They looked forward to visiting Jackson each summer on their annual vacation. From Tom’s family cabin, there is a perfect view of Rendezvous Mountain and about halfway through a hike down, Tom got down on one knee and they knew they had to have their wedding at Grand Teton National Park!
They chose Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club for its perfect backdrop. We loved that they chose natural blues and grays that mimicked the mountains. Alexs and her mom worked to create all the decorations, which were beautiful! Their wedding day itself was perfect with a celebration that was small and relaxed where guests enjoyed amazing views of the mountains, and soaked up the atmosphere. We loved all of their family and friends who were all so kind, and had a fantastic time working with them!

We love this adventurous couple from the UK! Simon and Claire met at university in Bath where they were both studying languages. They share a love of travel and learning about other cultures. Simon and Claire have visited every continent together and keep finding more places to explore! They both love nature and travel, and an outdoor wedding seemed ideal. However, you cannot get married outside in England and the weather is far from predictable!
After watching an episode of Modern Family where they go to a Dude Ranch, Claire and Simon decided they needed a backdrop just like it and their planning began. However, they did not know the area or anything about getting married in the US until they found us here at Lovely Day Events, and we're glad they did!
Despite a downpour in the night and a cloudy morning, the clouds lifted and created a pretty much perfect setting for their ceremony and the pictures after! We love the pops of red that make this wedding stand out!

Natalie and Brad will always stand out as a wedding we loved and will never forget. They are a very sweet couple who loves the outdoors and adventures. Skiing is one of their favorite activities. When they first started dating they would book ski trips on Friday to the newest snow for the weekend and off they went. The ski town of Jackson Hole was the perfect fit for their summer wedding and Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club was the perfect venue. The cloudy day didn't stop this wedding from being beautiful and tons of fun! From the arch, to the garlands, to the antler wedding logo, no detail was overlooked. Natalie and Brad recently welcomed a baby boy into their adventures as well!

We're super excited to announce that Lovely Day Events has been inducted into The Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame from The Knot, the leading wedding brand and marketplace. Kim and Dom's June wedding had all the summer details that we love. They were married at Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club on a bluebird sky day with clear views of the Tetons behind them.
The bright blue pops of color in the water goblets, flowers and napkins made everything feel cheerful and celebratory. Many children attended (including the couple's two adorable sons) and they were thrilled with the kids' activity table, filled with coloring books and toys. A blue and white candy bar was a huge success for both young and adult guests. Everyone danced the night away with music provided by Jackson Hole DJ.

In May, we had the privilege of working with Liz and Brian to plan their spring wedding at a private residence in Hillsborough. This wedding was extra special because Liz and Lindsey are friends from summer camp. Liz and Brian were married at a family friend's farm home in the Hillsborough, CA. They included tons of personal touches such as wood coasters for favors, a carrot cake in place a a traditional wedding cake and groomsmen wearing socks supporting their favorite teams. The wedding turned out so magnificently, it was recently featured on Borrowed & Blue! We think the smiling photos of the happy couple below say it all.
Congratulations Liz and Brian! We wish you a life filled with love and happiness!

We had sun, rain, hail, thunder and lightning on Kelly and Shane's wedding day making it extra memorable. Somehow this weather seemed fitting for a couple who loves adventures! Kelly and Shane met at a Crossfit gym in 2012 and from that day forward, it was obvious they were destined to be together.
Couloir Restaurant was the perfect venue for their special day with its amazing mountaintop views and delicious cuisine. Guests sipped huckleberry champagne as they rode up the gondola to the ceremony. A family member officiated the heartfelt wedding where there was not a dry eye in the house!
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on the patio followed by a buffet dinner, speeches and dancing. As always, Jackson Hole DJ brought down the house.

"Casual" and "elegant" are the perfect way to describe Chelsea and Mason's wedding at Sylvan Lake Estate. We had a blast working with this down-to-earth couple and were excited to see their special day featured on Borrowed & Blue.
Chelsea and Mason's romance began working together on a political campaign. As Northern California natives, the couple has always loved the relaxed atmosphere and picturesque beauty of wine country. They selected Sylvan Estate as their venue because it still felt like an intimate destination within close proximity to their families.
EV Floral Design's lush green and white floral arrangements were breathtaking. Delicious gourmet pizza from Ca'Momi contributed to the elegant yet casual feeling of the day. The night ended with an unforgettable dance party to the sound of the Decades Band and a delicious treat from Johnny Donuts. See the full details on Borrowed & Blue!

Erin and Garrison's Winter Wonderland Wedding at Spring Creek Ranch featured in Rocky Mountain Bride
Erin and Garrison's winter wonderland wedding at Spring Creek Ranch was nothing short of spectacular. We were delighted to be a part of this couple's snowy, romantic day and are pleased to announce their wedding has been featured in Rocky Mountain Bride's 2016 Wyoming Issue!
Some of the details of Erin and Garrison's wedding included the bride's beautiful boho chic dress by Rue De Seine. The dress was perfectly completed by a fur wrap which went along with their neutral color palette.
One of our favorite details of the day were the stunning flowers by Jackson Hole Flower Company which included a delicate floral crown for the bride made of champagne roses. Guests were seated at tables adorned with antlers and horseshoes, making for the perfect place settings.
For more about this dreamy winter wedding, read about the details in RMB's 2016 Wyoming Issue.
A little rain did not stop Katie and Farzad's wedding at the Harvest Inn from being featured on Borrowed & Blue! The rain actually made this one of the most unique, romantic and unforgettable weddings we've worked on to date.
The unbelievable peonies were styled by Rion Designs and featured pops of pink and blue which are on trend with this year's wedding Pantone colors. Although the reception was moved to a tent at the last minute, the end result was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined!
Another piece that made this wedding day extra special was the Persian wedding ceremony, including a traditional Sofreh. The Sofreh set up included foods, decorations, herbs and a mirror all representing a piece of the couple's new life together. This Sofreh was a labor of love and turned out beautifully.
