Top Five Tips on Choosing The Wedding Vendors

Lindsey Nickel

Your wedding is one of the most memorable days of your life. Hence, to make every second count and enjoying it without stress is significant.

As much as planning your wedding sounds exciting, when the reality sinks in, it can be pretty nerve-wracking. After months of planning, all you wish everything to go smoothly.

Here’s where the role of vendors come into the picture. You have to choose your vendor wisely so that there is no last minute hassle.

Wondering how to choose the vendor? Well, in this blog today, we have jotted down five tips on choosing the wedding vendor. Without further ado, let us check out the blog!

1. Ask for Reference

The first thing before choosing the wedding vendor is to get references from everybody. Remember the last wedding where you thoroughly loved the food, impressing décor, or the brides and grooms.

Make a list of people whose wedding you enjoyed. And then contact them for the reference. In addition to that, you can search online about the wedding vendors.

Nevertheless, remember nothing works like a personal experience. Hence, find the event places and check their list of favorite vendors.

2. Lookup for Online Reviews

Once you have had conclusions about the wedding vendors, it is time to go and look upon their online reviews. There are many event spaces in Nashville and other states, where they keep updating their social media handles. Some of them even upload videos about the wedding.

Online reviews are an excellent resource for finding information regarding wedding vendors. Besides, you can also check the local directories and forums related to the wedding vendors.

3. Meet Up The Vendors

Right after checking online reviews, make a list of wedding vendors you would like to meet up. First impressions matter largely. Thus, when you meet the vendors, the demeanor will express everything.

Moreover, you can take a personal glance and examine the samples. Since you have read the online reviews, prepare a list of questionnaires to ask. All your confusions and doubts will be cleared.

You can also create a schedule of the entire week and meet the various vendors. By doing so, you can evaluate every detail. If the locations are nearby, then it becomes possible for you to reach the venue quickly.

4. Know Your Vendors

Now that you have shortlisted the vendors, it is time to do your due diligence. Run a background check whether the vendor you are hiring is a famous and reliable member when it comes to the services.

You do not want to ruin the special day or have last minute checkup. By doing so, you can avoid future conflict.

5. Compare the Packages

Last but not least comes the most crucial part of choosing the wedding vendor, and that is the budget. How much are you willing to spend the food and drinks? How much for the dress, décor, flowers, and other necessary things?

If the dress is very costly than the whole expense of your wedding, then you have found better options. Since budget is an essential aspect of every wedding, DO NOT hesitate to negotiate it with the vendor.

Ask for a discount or any other alternative to negotiating. Never be shy about it. If they are unable to settle, then compare the budget plans of the wedding vendors, you have shortlisted.

Most of the time, the vendors ask for what they deserve. Hence, if they recommended by everyone, then reflect upon in choosing the wedding vendor.

Weddings are the most memorable moment in our life. It is not only about two people connecting and spending life but also about two families making the bond stronger.

Organizing the wedding certainly sounds exciting if you don’t have tons of responsibility. Therefore, having a vendor who can take care of the wedding will reduce your stress. In the blog as mentioned above, we have jotted down the tips. Follow it and consult!

“All the bridesmaids wearing the identical, solid color dress is less common as couples opt for more personal wedding party attire,” says Lindsey Nickel, a wedding planner at Lovely Day Events. “Couples are really embracing making the wedding feel like their own wedding and personalizing as much as possible. This is one of my favorite wedding trends because it allows people to pick a dress that flatters their figure and that they would realistically wear again.”

“One of my favorite cost-saving tips is to up-cycle items from previous weddings,” said Nickel. “Start browsing early on sites like Facebook Marketplace. Accent furniture, tabletop decor and cute details can quickly add up. Couples can check out local online communities to find on-trend deals near them on unique pieces for their wedding, such as a funky table for their escort cards, vintage chairs for a lounge or boho rugs for an aisle runner.”

Picking a location that has meaning to both you and your spouse-to-be will help provide inspiration for your planning and design. “Maybe that means the mountain town where you went for your first ski trip together, or wine country because you both love Merlot,” suggests Lindsey Nickel, Owner of Lovely Day Events. Being able to share a place that you both love with your friends and family will create extra meaning and a unique experience.

Tanya & Richie’s fall western inspired wedding was low-key elegant with hints of their love of down-home aesthetics. This day was all about family from the family-style buffet dinner to them inviting three couples in different stages of married life (5 years, 38 years, and 56 years) to do readings where they shared their thoughts and advice on marriage, you can tell this amazing day was more about the people who surrounded Tanya and Richie and not just about them. They also beautifully brought the fall season indoors with the gorgeous floral arrangements including the bouquet, blush ballgown, and feathered shawl that Tanya wore. The Four Seasons Resort & Residences Jackson Hole made for the perfect backdrop to this extraordinary event and I am so happy to have been a part of it all.

When your family home just so happens to be on a beautiful vineyard in Napa Valley, California, there is just no better place to say "I do”, which is exactly how Leah and Andrew celebrated their forever.

The brides family home was the perfect location for their laid-back, but ultra-romantic day in muted green tones. One of our favorite details? The reception! Which featured a huge family style table set between two vineyards + bistro lights above. ~ Wedding Chicks, Ashley
