Elegant Silverado Resort Wedding

Katelyn and Stuart’s Silverado Resort wedding was elegant and fun and featured one stunning long dinner table with a magnificent garland. No detail was overlooked for their petite wedding with their closest friends and family members.

If we haven’t met yet, hi! I’m Lindsey Nickel, and I’m a local Sonoma and Napa wedding planner and the owner of Lovely Day Events. My team and I have planned more than 140 destination weddings, so I can tell you firsthand that Silverado Resort is something special. My clients want the ceremony to be outside, the food to be outstanding, and the dance parties to be epic. If this sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

They met at work, making work a heck of a lot more fun! Originally, they were going to have the wedding at her parents’ house, but planning got too complicated, so they decided to pick a destination they could drive to (they are from Chico, Calif.). They wanted wedding planning to be easy and stress-free, and the wedding day to be fun and happy.

Why Silverado Resort For Their Wedding

There are many resorts in Napa Valley that can host a wedding, but Silverado’s 1,200 acres of rolling oak groves and vineyards, its rich history, and over 350 rooms for your guests make it a perfect place for your wedding. From the golf courses, manicured gardens, pools, fountains, and, of course, wine tasting, there will be plenty of things to do and beautiful spots for photos for everyone involved.

Silverado Resort Wedding Planning

Their Silverado Resort wedding included tasteful design touches.  They had swoon-worthy velvet napkins, custom gold place cards, and elegant chargers with gold details. These special details made their wedding feel extra lush and personal to them.

Their wedding was in early April, which is usually pretty cool weather. However, their wedding day was the first heatwave of the year, but the guests were able to dine and dance the night away in the comfort of the air conditioning.

Silverado Resort Wedding Day

One very cool and unique part of their wedding was a choreographed dance. Instead of a slow dance, they worked with a dance instructor to create a custom, high-energy first dance. It was the perfect thing to get the dance party started!

For their wedding party, Stuart had his two daughters and Katelyn had two co-maides of honor and the officiant was Stuart’s good friend from college. So the most important people were able to play pivotal roles during this very big day.

From Their Napa Wedding Planner

Katelyn and Stuart were referred by another wedding planner who was already booked that day. They were looking for a Napa wedding planner who would point them in the right direction, give them homework to stay on task with wedding planning, and tell them if something was a bad idea. Katelyn and Stuart were a dream to work with! They had the right amount of personal touches (such as a live musician for the ceremony and cocktail hour), and everything was very appreciated by the guests.

I originally did not think I needed a wedding planner (My wedding was only about 20 people). However, it was required by our vendor. I am SO happy we had Lovely Day Events on our team. There were so many details I would not have thought of without her. She made sure everything went smoothly from the early planning stages to the day of, even her check-ins after the wedding! I was completely stress-free on my wedding day and able to enjoy every minute of it thanks to Lindsey and her team!
