Mandy and Scott’s Epic Jackson Hole, Wyoming Wedding

Brides (and in this case Mom) can  plan the music, make DIY projects, hand write escort cards, and more. However, try as they might they can not plan the weather. This was exactly the case with Mandy and Scott's Jackson Hole wedding. There are two things that I will always remember about this wedding: 1) all of the DIY decor 2) the epic thunder, lightning and hail.  Let's just say that Mandy and Mom planned every detail, moment and activity down to the personally labeled children's activities bags. Over the winter Mom sewed burlap curtains for the reception. So it was quite a disappointment to both of them when the rain started, then the hail, then the tent started to have a stream through it, then the vendors had to depart the tent because of the lightning overhead. Finally about 15 minutes after the ceremony was supposed to occur, there was a break in the weather. I quickly gathered all 110 guests out to the lawn as the rain started to drizzle. I must admit, I was worried that the clouds were going to open up again and pour on the ceremony- but it was important to Mandy to get married outside and it was now or get married in the tent. Thankfully, the drizzle passed as Mandy and Scott were saying "I do." The guests headed up to the tent, where everyone was in awe of all the decor. All the winter work of sewing, gluing and assembling paid off. The set up was tastefully western. The guests danced the night away until the were whisked away to the Cowboy Bar. As I always say "the only thing that is certain is that at the end of the day you will be married."
